the one where I am let down and sad

Everyone I know let me down except my Dad.
Never mind on the frappr-thingy. I don't really care who you are or even if you think you are my friend.
I got carried away thinking 2 things:
#1- that people other than myself actually read this
and #2-that I actually have friends.

I need a new mouse (mine is fried), a new telephone (also fried), a new car and a new job. Not in any particular order.

CALLING ALL FRIENDS!!!!

This is my latest time-wasting-on-the-internet-like-I-have-nothing-else-to-do-with-my-life "new project" and I need everyone who reads this to help me. !I NEED FRIENDS!! Please take a moment and drag yourself to my Frappr.com friends map and add yourself, please? I am such a sad, sad, pathetic person, and I don't think I have any friends. (You don't have to add a bunch of info about yourself unless you want to, but it would be nice.) I sent an invite to almost all my so-called-friends in my e-mail list and the only one who added themselves is my Dad. See? At least my dad loves me. Well, he somehow put that he lives off the coast of Africa, but at least he responded to me! Come on, prove me wrong and sign in to be my friend. I know you want to.....

2006

How is it that you think you might be keeping up with entries and pictures and yet as I look at my journal I realize I am sorely lacking. So as so many people do every year on January 1st (and I so wish to be like everyone else...) Here is my 1st annual new year's resolutions list, in no particular order.
I am resolutioning to:

1) write more in my journal*
2) post more pictures to my journal
3) lose weight (doesn't everyone put this on the list?)
4) work out, exercise....well, walk on the beach and ride my bike*
5) change my job and start school*
6) be less stressed about life and live happier and healthier*

*these I am actively working on right now

I am glad I am finally over my funk. I was starting to wonder if I needed some professional intervention. I think now that the "holidays" are over (and I am including my birthday in this) I can get back to a normal life. I think I might take a page from the movie "Christmas with the Kranks" and boycott christmas, new year's and my b-day next year and take a trip to another country until all the silly hoopla has passed. Bah Humbug.

All the resoluting made me tired. Or it could be the walk on the beach, taking down the x-mas tree and packing away all the decorations and cleaning the house that did it. Naah. I'm sticking with the resoluting.

the one where someone turns 39 today

I guess I have to say it.

Happy Birthday to me.

One step closer to the BIG 4 0.

Actually only 1 year left before the BIG 4 0.

I started my b-day very nice indeed with a wake up birthday song, banana pancakes and bacon, a cup of coffee and b-day cards all in bed. Very nice.
Then I decided to re install "things" on my computer (since my b-day present was a 160 gig hard drive) and my Quicken backup disc is fried and now I don't have any of my checkbook files. (sigh) I hope this isn't a sign of the new year to come. I actually hope I really don't need all those Quicken files and I guess I will just start from scratch.

Just like christmas, my past birthday's haven't really been days that stand out in happiness for me.

For my birthday year in review:

2001: Happy Birthday to me (34)
2002: Another year, another birthday, a new image (35)
2003: the one where the Birthday starts out very pleasing (36)
2004: It's my birthday and I'll cry if I want to (37)
2005: and I'm not sure why I didn't write one this year but I remember it.....Mom and Dad in town, Pete and Ryan go to Mexico, they run out of gas, get back too late for dinner. Very memorable birthday. or not (38)
