the one where I hate everyone

Gaaah! I had no fucking idea this web site changing shit was so damn complicated! I know just enough about HTML, hosting web pages and domain names to make me a dangerously stupid person! (I actually don't know ANYTHING about it.....that seems to be the dangerously stupid problem!) I got so upset last week that I couldn’t do what I wanted to do when I was building a new whispercat main page so I decided to go with a free template thingy that I found on the net and modified it to work for me. Can I say shit was that a stupid idea? I finally got it uploaded Friday (after spending the last 4 days working on  my domain name transfer crap-back and forth calling 2 different companies to share info with them when they kept giving me the wrong info!) and then I couldn't get the graphics to work on the page. I stopped playing with it Friday because I was a very angry woman. I didn't have time this weekend and just got back to it tonight. I fussed and fiddled for about an hour and decided to call godaddy for help. The nice guy there, James (I believe that was his name, ironic, huh?) decided it was the HTML builder and talked me into switching to godaddy's builder/template thingy. Either he is a genius or he didn't like me and I will have to get back with you with my decision later. Right now I feel....well, my web page is wiped (again) and I have to start over with building it and using a new template thingy. I guess this will be a good thing in the end since the idea is sound that I will actually have working graphics, but right now I am too tired to log on and work thru' it. Every time I try to work on the web page when I am super tired (and stressed out) I get super angry and hate everyone.
Yeah, I hate everyone.

the one where I find a new home

It's official.
I've done it.
This is now OFFICIALLY my new home for my journal. I like the way this place fits me. You can go here if you want to check out my old entries, but I recommend you stick around here for the new ones.

the one where I spend all weekend watching "Sex in the City" and play on the computer

well, as always it's the story of my life-wasting time and then feeling so enormously guilty about it that I can't even enjoy it.
I did another mystery shop for the local theater last night and saw "The 40 Year Old Virgin." Damn, that was some seriously funny shit. I thought it was going to be lame ass nerd jokes and possibly verge on being mildly offensive. Then I was surprised that I saw so many "older" people in the theater. ("Older" to me constitutes 65 years and up) I thought only a very small part of the movie had lame ass nerd jokes and I was laughing so hard I almost peed my pants. The second time I saw it (for the mystery shop I have to go to each screen the theater plays it on) I noticed a couple of "older" people left in the middle of it but again, I would have expected that. There was more references to pussy than I could count and if I had seen it with the 17 year old I might have been cringing in quite a few places, but I still recommend it as a funny, very off color movie. I would actually PAY and go this one for the third time!

yeah, it was THAT fun

I can't describe it. You just had to be there.

The one where I am drunk and stupid

Yeah, I'm drunk. Maybe stupid. Well....Probably both. I know I can't type. It's a hunt and peck system at it's finest. I had a fun night. I miss hanging out with the PC crowd. I was relaxed and I had fun. Mandye was a blast. I miss that atmosphere. Wow. I can spell atmosphere. I rock. Damn. Where the fuck did the cursor go?
It was old home week, Mandye, Keith, Tony, Lolo...new faces. Funny that a girl who only worked at the PC for 4 months has such loyalty to Guy. I guess he instills it but then somehow fucks it up later. She will see. They all do. Some (well, most) go back but all see the light. I miss the companionship. When I have an ungodly, horrible, shit for life day now I can just go home and vent on Pete. He has no idea and just makes the "Oh so sorry for you, your job is tough" sounds. Before, I had the comrades, the co-workers, to go, have a beer and bitch. I miss that. Do I miss it enough to kiss ass and go back to PC? Puffy Nipples said tonight that Tony was the highest paid bartender in town. Either Tony is talking shit (which he does on a regular basis) or it's true. I was always an easy target. Walk all over me since I don't have a lot of self confidence in my work ability. Damn, I don't have self confidence in anything. I just talk a good game.
Somehow I have to figure out what is making me unhappy in my life and fix it quick.
Pete is so sad. J was sad. I don't know how to fix it. Maybe it's me. I make them sad. Divorce fixed J. He's happy now. Maybe I was meant to be alone and a crazy cat lady forever. I'll be lonely but not unhappy so maybe that is the best life has to offer. Some how that doesn't seem right. Somewhere, some place, I have a place I fit in.
Ryan just came out. He teased me about being drunk, but he knows I was at Neptune's so that is a given.
Is this the place I was meant to be? Or am I marking time for another place and time? Damn, if I am just marking time and I am 38 when does life truly start?
I'm not ready for a baby but have a 17 year old I take care of. I wish Pete would recognize that Ryan does put a strain on our financial situation. He is sad that we work so hard and NEVER have anything to show, always behind, always adding things that we need to the never ending list that needs money to make happen. I don't wish Ryan anywhere else. I am happy he can be happy and actually make a good life for himself by living with us. But we never talked about the extra income it would take to raise a 17 year old who needs shoes, clothes and money to get thru school. I shutter to think how much his extracurricular activities will cost us this year. I want him to be happy and do well. I just wish Pete would acknowledge that it takes me to also make that happen.

Only in Port A

Only at the beach will you find a work truck with a cheap Styrofoam boogie board strapped to the back on a Monday evening driving down the freeway.

Maggie

This is our newest baby, Maggie. I'm am checking out the photo uploading tools here and so far I am liking what I see!

the one where I try a NEW spot in the sun

Well, here I am. I'm in the process of re-vamping my pages and finding a better fit for whispercat to live.I was interested in some of the options that blogger.com has that diaryland.com doesn't. Let's see if we like this new place enough to call it our new home.
